About the Event
What is a precinct caucus?
A caucus is a gathering of like-minded people for the purpose of discussing issues and organizing politically. The DFL precinct caucuses are gatherings of Democratic neighbors for the purpose of electing leaders for each precinct. Elected precinct leaders help guide the local DFL Party unit. If you are interested in connecting with fellow Democrats, you are welcome to attend. Participants should consider themselves a member of the DFL Party and not be an active member of any other political party, and be at least 16 years old. To vote or be elected as a delegate during the caucus, you must be at least 18 years old and eligible to vote in the next election.
Where will my caucus be held?
- Comstock Memorial Union on the campus of Minnesota State University Moorhead for residents of Moorhead, Dilworth, Glyndon, Georgetown, Sabin, and Comstock, as well as the townships of Georgetown, Viding, Kragnes, Morken, Oakport, Moland, Moorhead, Glyndon, Elmwood, Kurtz, and Holy Cross.
- Hawley High School commons for residents of Hawley, Felton, and Ulen, and the townships of Felton, Hagen, Ulen, Flowing, Keene, Goose Prairie, Spring Prairie, Cromwell, Highland Grove, Riverton, Hawley, Parke, and Eglon.
