Fargo Forum: Two announce bids for Moorhead legislative seat after Lanning steps out

MOORHEAD – Two Republican candidates announced plans today to run for the District 4A House seat that represents Moorhead in the state Legislature. Rep. Morrie Lanning, a Republican, said Thursday he doesn’t plan to run for re-election for the post he has held for a decade. Ken Lucier, a longtime conservative political activist, and Travis Reimche, a patients account manager at Sanford Health, both said today they plan to run for the seat. Ben Lien is also seeking the seat and has the DFL endorsement heading into the Aug. 14 primary. Candidates have until June 5 to file paperwork for run for Legislature.
