Help students attending college in Moorhead—whether at Concordia, MState or MSUM.
How can you participate? It’s as simple as remembering, when you do your own grocery shopping, to pick up some additional shelf-stable food and personal care items to contribute to the food pantries on each of these campuses.
Once you’ve purchased the items that you wish to donate, please take them to one of the following drop-off opportunities:
Bring your donations to the DFL garage at 1424 1st Ave. N. in Moorhead:
· Thursdays, March 6th or 13th between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m
· Saturdays, March 8th or March 15th between 12 noon and 2:00 p.m.
· Sunday, March 16th between 12 noon and 2:00p.m.
· If you prefer to make a monetary donation, please find information below**
As you prepare to participate in this drive, please consider buying personal hygiene items, as those are harder for the campuses to procure.
Please consider purchasing three of each grocery or personal item. This assures all three campuses will benefit.
Please bear in mind the need for the following items:
· Bar soap, body wash, deodorant, shampoo and conditioner,
· Toothpaste and toothbrushes,
· Laundry soap,
· Tampons/pads,
· Diapers, baby wipes, and toilet paper
· Granola bars & breakfast bars,
· Cereal & oatmeal,
· Milk or unsweetened almond milk in shelf-stable boxes,
· Peanut butter,
· Crackers,
· Deluxe macaroni-and-cheese, or ramen noodles
· Canned food, preferably with pop-tab openers that don’t require a can opener (beans, meats, tomatoes, fruits and vegetables are all good options),
· Tuna or chicken packets,
· Rice and rice dishes,
· Items from the “international/ethnic foods” aisles,
· Cooking oil,
· Tea or instant coffee,
· Gatorade and other healthy beverages,
· Sugar and salt & pepper sets.
Finally, please remember that…
1. All donated items must be unopened, with their original packaging and labeling.
2. Food items needing refrigeration will NOT be sought during this drive.
3. **Campus food pantries also welcome monetary gifts to help students deal with emergencies. If you prefer to give that way, please make your check payable to the college of your choice:
M State Alumni Foundation (in the memo Campus Cupboard)
MSUM (in the memo Dragon Pantry)
Concordia College (in the memo Cobber Food Pantry)
