With record inequality in our country, Citizens United giving corporations permission to spend as much money as they want on elections, and Republicans introducing voter restriction bills in state legislatures that will mainly affect Democrats, it is now more important than ever that citizens be aware of issues and participate in civic life. Invite your neighbors to join you at your Caucus on February 7th.
To participate in a DFL Caucus, you must:
reside in the precinct.
be age 16 or older by November 6, 2012 Note: You can submit resolutions and run for precinct offices. You need to be age 18 or older by November 6, 2012 to cast a preference ballot or to be elected a delegate or alternate to your county/organizing unit and/or senate district conventions.
consider yourself a member of the DFL Party and not be an active member of any other political party.
agree with the principles of the DFL Party as stated in the DFL Constitution and Bylaws.
